Clutter causes stress
- Clutter and disorganization cause stress. Do you feel paralyzed by the amount of clutter you have? Do you have a vague, gnawing feeling that you should be doing something but can't remember what? Do you worry that others will find out about your disorganization and be horrified?
- Clutter is more than just physical “stuff.” Your date book, your to-do list and your brain can also suffer from clutter. Clutter doesn't always come in the form of storage boxes whose contents you don't remember, bursting closets or high-piled desks. It can result from trying to remember too much or do too much.
- What is too much? When you forget important things, when you're late because you underestimate time, when you are exhausted because your overbooked schedule doesn't include time to sleep.
